10 nights of Tag A Long adventures with Golden Guitar winning singer/songwriter Matt Scullion and the loveable larrikin Rock n Russ Heriot.
There’ll be music festivals, campfires, singalongs, sightseeing, canoeing, fancy dress, trivia, historical pub concerts, bush walks, team games, happy hours and lots of good old belly laughs.
We’ll all meet in Forbes for The Elvis Festival in Parkes, then it’s on to Lake Burrendong to chill out by the water. We then slowly make our way to the beautiful wine region of Mudgee before reaching our destination at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in the historic town of Nundle.
We do all the organising so you can kick back and enjoy the journey.

ITINERARY
FRI 10th
Arrive at the Forbes showground, check in and pay for 3 nights accommodation. Meet & Greet at 5pm followed by happy hour drinks and a complimentary sausage sizzle. Campfire concert with Matt & Russ at 7pm.
SAT 11th
The day is yours to do whatever you choose. Either check out all Forbes has to offer or make your way to The Elvis Festival in Parkes which is only a short 20 min drive. A free bus service is available to and from the Festival daily.
SUN 12th
Again the day is yours to do whatever you choose either at the Elvis Festival or around the local area. Meet after dinner at the campfire in your fancy dress costume (music theme) for a “request a song you’d like to hear” concert with Matt & Russ. Prize for best costume.
MON 13th
Pack up by 10am and hit the road for a leisurely 2 1/2 hour drive to our next destination which is the beautiful Reflections Holiday Park at Lake Burrendong. Check in and pay for two nights accomodation and just relax.
We’ve got nothing planned for today so the afternoon is yours to do as you please. The park has many facilities including walking trails and canoe hire, or maybe throw a line in and catch some dinner.
TUES 14th
Again the day is yours to enjoy all that Burrendong lake has to offer. Meet for 4pm happy hour followed by team games and music trivia. Prizes for winning team.
WEDS 15th
Check out 10am, it’s off to Mudgee. A scenic 2 hour drive through some gorgeous country. Check in at the Mudgee Showground and pay for two nights accomodation. We’ve got nothing planned until 6pm that night, where we’ll all meet at Roth’s Wine Bar for a 7.30pmthree hour Australiana concert with Matt Scullion supported by Rock n Russ. Roth’s Wine Bar is a licensed restaurant and we’d definitely encourage you to support this local establishment.
THURS 16th
The days is your to explore or just kick back and relax. Mudgee is one of our most celebrated wine regions and has dozens of tours to choose from. Shaz will also have an optional op shop tour for those interested and I will be doing the heritage walk tour for those who would like to tag a long.
FRI 17th
Check out 9am and hit the road for the Tamworth Country Music Festival. It’s about a 4 hour drive and we’ll be stopping along the way at Quirindi to marvel at the Silo Art and have an early lunch. Check in to the Fossickers caravan park in Nundle and pay for 3 nights accomodation. Strap on your apron and spark up your gas stove for our pot luck dinner to be held at the camp kitchen around 7pm.
SAT 18th
The day is yours to head in to the Tamworth Country Music Festival which is about a 45 min leisurely drive from Nundle. The Tamworth CMF is one of Australia’s biggest music festivals and hosts hundreds of shows over a 10 day period. I would suggest getting hold of the offical guide and pre plan what shows you would like to see. Or you could just play it by beer and check out the many free shows and buskers along Peel St.
SUN 19th
The morning is yours to do as you please. At 2pm I’ll be performing my three hour Australiana show with Rock n Russ at the Peel Inn located in the main st of Nundle. It’s a beautiful old historic pub with a very tasty lunch menu, again we’d encourage you to support this local establishment. After that the night is yours.
MON 20th
Complimentary pancake breakfast followed by goodbyes, check out by 10am. Unless you’d like to stay longer ?? If so you’ll have to pre arrange that with the park when booking your sites.
